Terms of Use
Established: October 4, 2026
Article 1 (Scope)
- These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the application "Movin" (the "App"; the services provided through the App are the "Service") provided by FreEase Inc. (the "Company"), and apply between the Company and everyone who uses the Service (each a "User").
- By downloading the App or using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
- Minors must obtain the consent of a parent or other legal guardian before using the Service.
Article 2 (The Service)
- The Service locks apps chosen by the User using the Screen Time features of iPhone, and grants time to use those apps according to the number of steps the User walks.
- Using the Service requires an iPhone running a supported version of iOS, together with permission to access the Health app and Screen Time. Without these permissions, some or all of the Service cannot be used.
- Figures shown in the App, such as calories burned and expected weight loss, are estimates based on general formulas and do not guarantee any result.
Article 3 (License)
The Company grants the User a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the App on Apple devices that the User owns or controls, within the scope of the usage rules set by Apple.
Article 4 (Fees and Payment)
- Using the Service requires the purchase of a paid plan offered in the App (either the Lifetime plan or the Monthly plan). The price is the amount shown in the App and on the App Store at the time of purchase.
- The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment that lets you use the Service for as long as the Service is provided. It does not renew automatically, and there are no additional charges.
- The Monthly plan is a subscription that renews automatically every month. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, it renews automatically and the fee for the next period is charged.
- Payment is made through the User's Apple Account. You can cancel the Monthly plan and check its renewal date from Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the App does not cancel the Monthly plan.
- If you cancel partway through a period, you can continue to use the Service until the end of that period. No prorated refunds are given.
- Refunds after purchase are handled according to Apple's policies. To request a refund, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Except where required by law, the Company cannot decide whether a refund is granted.
- The Company may change its prices. If the price of the Monthly plan changes, the Company will notify you in advance by the method set by Apple.
Article 5 (Health and Safety Notices)
- The App is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease. Information shown in the App is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other professional.
- If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, have been advised to limit exercise, or have any concerns about your health, consult a doctor before using the App. If you feel unwell while walking, stop immediately.
- Operating your device while walking is dangerous. Users must follow traffic laws and check their surroundings for safety while walking.
- Users exercise at their own risk, taking into account their own physical condition and environment.
Article 6 (Personal Information)
The Company handles User information processed in connection with the Service appropriately, in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Article 7 (Third-Party Services)
The Service uses HealthKit, the Screen Time features, and App Store in-app purchases provided by Apple, as well as the purchase management service provided by RevenueCat. Use of these services is subject to the terms set by each provider. The Company is not liable for any impact on the Service caused by changes to, failures of, or discontinuation of these services, except in cases of the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)
When using the Service, Users must not do any of the following:
- Violate laws or public order and morals
- Obtain usable time by improper means, such as falsifying step counts
- Decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the App
- Copy, modify, redistribute, lend, or sell the App
- Interfere with the operation of the Service, or access the Company's systems without authorization
- Infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights of the Company or any third party
- Set up the App on another person's device without that person's consent
- Engage in any other conduct that the Company deems inappropriate
Article 9 (Intellectual Property)
Copyrights, trademarks, and all other intellectual property rights in the App and the Service belong to the Company or to the rights holders who have licensed them to the Company. The license granted under these Terms does not transfer any of these rights.
Article 10 (Suspension, Changes, and Termination of the Service)
- The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice for maintenance or inspection, in the event of failures of communication lines or external services, in cases of natural disaster or other force majeure, or in other cases where the Company deems it unavoidable.
- The Company may change the content of the Service or discontinue it. If the Service is to be discontinued, the Company will give reasonable advance notice in the App or on this website.
- The Lifetime plan covers use during the period in which the Service is provided and does not guarantee that the Service will be provided indefinitely.
Article 11 (Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability)
- The Company does not warrant that the Service will suit the User's particular purpose, produce any expected effect (including weight loss or reduced social media use), or be free of defects.
- App locking and step counting depend on iOS features. Depending on OS specifications, bugs, settings, or the state of the device, locks may not apply or may not release, and steps may not be reflected correctly.
- Do not include apps needed for emergency contact among the apps to be locked. The Company is not liable for any damage caused by being unable to use a needed app because it was locked, except in cases of the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- Except in cases of the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company's liability for damage suffered by the User in connection with the Service is limited to direct damages that would ordinarily arise, and capped at the amount the User paid for the Service in the 12 months before the damage occurred.
- The provisions of this Article do not apply to the extent they are not permitted by the Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory laws.
Article 12 (Restriction of Use)
If a User violates these Terms, or the Company determines that there is a risk of such a violation, the Company may restrict that User's use of the Service without prior notice.
Article 13 (Changes to These Terms)
The Company may change these Terms in response to changes in the law or in the Service. When changes are made, the Company will give advance notice of the revised content and its effective date in the App or on this website. By using the Service on or after the effective date, the User is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 14 (Notices and Contact)
Inquiries about the Service should be sent by email to m.takahashi@fre-ease.com or made from Settings > Help & Contact in the App. Notices from the Company to Users are given by posting in the App or on this website.
Article 15 (No Assignment of Rights or Obligations)
Users may not assign to a third party, or use as collateral, their contractual position or any rights or obligations under these Terms without the Company's prior written consent.
Article 16 (Apple-Related Provisions)
- These Terms are concluded between the User and the Company, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). The Company is responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, the User may notify Apple and may be entitled to a refund of the purchase price. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- The Company, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, claims under consumer protection laws, and claims of intellectual property infringement.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once the User agrees to these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against the User as a third-party beneficiary.
Article 17 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
- Any dispute relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
